Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026
This is a starting template matching how Glyde actually works today, not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer before commercial launch.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, joining an event, or using the organizer dashboard, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What Glyde is

Glyde is a companion app for live events: a venue map, schedule, chat, food/merch ordering, and safety reporting tools, plus a dashboard for event organizers to manage their event's content and respond to reports.

3. Event codes and organizer access

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages, photos, and reports you post. By posting them, you give other attendees in that event (and event staff) the right to see them, and you give us the right to store and transmit them as part of running the service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal, harassing, or that violates someone else's rights.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Glyde to:

We (or event staff, for their own event) may remove content, block accounts, or close an event to attendees who violate these terms.

6. Purchases

Merch and food orders placed through the app are between you and the event/vendor. Where real payment processing is enabled, payments are handled by Stripe; refunds and fulfillment are the event organizer's responsibility, not ours.

7. Safety features are not a substitute for emergency services

The in-app safety reporting, nearest-exit/security navigation, and alerts are tools to help event staff and attendees communicate — they are not a replacement for calling local emergency services in a genuine emergency.

8. No warranty

Glyde is provided "as is." Location accuracy, chat delivery, and notification delivery depend on device GPS, network conditions, and third-party services (Firebase, Stripe) outside our control, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continuing to use Glyde after an update means you accept the revised terms.
